About the Project

The Strong Breeze Wind Project is a proposed wind energy facility located in Dutton Dunwich, Ontario. At 57.5 MW, the Project will generate enough clean energy to power 18,000 Ontario homes and invigorate the local economy.

The Project was awarded a long-term power contract from the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) under the Large Renewable Procurement program in March 2016. Construction activities are scheduled to commence in 2019.

Commitment to Community

The Strong Breeze Wind Project is a partnership between Strong Breeze Wind and First Nation NCC Development LP, and is supported by the locally-run Erie Breezes Energy Co-operative. Once operational, the Project will generate real benefits for communities across Ontario.
